Is it too late to join the 200 hour yoga teacher training November 2026 batch?
No. A last minute yoga teacher training booking still works if you act this week. Here’s the minimum lead time for each step:
- Indian e-Tourist visa: apply at least 4 days before you fly. Short-term yoga programmes are an allowed purpose on the e-Tourist visa. Apply only on the official government site, indianvisaonline.gov.in; look-alike sites charge extra fees.
- Flights: most international students fly into Delhi (DEL), then take a domestic flight to Dehradun (DED). Our free airport pickup meets you at Dehradun, about 1–1.5 hours by road from the school.
- Seat: a US$200 deposit reserves your place. The balance is paid on arrival.
- Preparation: you don’t need an advanced practice. A daily 20–30 minute routine in the two weeks before you arrive is enough to make the first week easier.
Step-by-step booking details are in our guide on how to book a 200 hour YTT in Rishikesh from abroad, and visa specifics are in visa for yoga teacher training in India.

200 hour yoga teacher training November vs December: which batch suits you?
Choose November if you…
- want the most comfortable weather. November is the driest month, with mild days for outdoor practice by the river.
- want to see Diwali in India. In 2026 Diwali falls on Sunday 8 November, the weekly day off, so you can join the evening celebrations without missing class.
- can decide and travel within two weeks.
Choose December if you…
- need more time for leave, visa and flights (the yoga teacher training December 2026 batch starts 46 days from today).
- want to use the end-of-year holiday period. The course finishes on 26 December, and you can stay on for New Year in Rishikesh. Read our guide to doing yoga teacher training over Christmas in India.
- don’t mind cold mornings. Night temperatures drop to around 5°C, so you’ll need warm layers, but daytime practice is sunny and dry.

- Diwali (Sun 8 Nov): lamps on the ghats and temples, and the town at its most festive.
- Kartik Purnima (Tue 24 Nov): a full-moon festival when pilgrims bathe in the Ganga. Expect busy ghats.

Before you pay the deposit: 5 questions to ask any yoga school
Whether you book with us or another school, ask these before you send money:
- Is the school listed with Yoga Alliance? Check the Yoga Alliance directory yourself. Jeevatman Yogshala is a Registered Yoga School (RYS 200).
- How many students are in a batch? Smaller groups mean more feedback on your teaching. Ours are capped at 10.
- What exactly is included? Ask about meals, room type, books and airport transfers in writing.
- What is the deposit and transfer policy? Our US$200 deposit is non-refundable but can move to another batch within 6 months if you give written notice at least 50 days before your original start date. If you book the November batch now, you’re already inside that 50-day window, so only book if your dates are certain.
- What are the attendance rules? Attendance is compulsory for certification, so check the schedule fits your plans.
More warning signs to look out for are in our guide to yoga school red flags.
