Jeevatman Yogshala offers a Yoga Alliance USA YACEP certified Sound Healing Teacher Training Course in Rishikesh, India — available in 1-day, 3-day, 5-day, and 7-day formats, starting from $120 without accommodation. Led by Ayushi Desai, a sound healer with 700+ hours of training, you will learn Tibetan singing bowls, gong therapy, crystal bowls, chakra balancing, and the art of facilitating sound baths. Students from 25+ countries choose Rishikesh — the Yoga Capital of the World — as the setting for this deeply transformative training.
Sound healing is a therapeutic practice that uses the vibration and resonance of instruments — such as Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, and crystal bowls — to promote physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing. Sound frequencies interact with the body’s nervous system, shifting brainwave states from stressed beta into healing alpha and theta, where deep rest and restoration naturally occur.
Rooted in ancient Vedic and Tibetan traditions, sound healing has been used in India for thousands of years as a method of purifying energy, balancing the chakras, and quietening the mind. Modern research in bioacoustics and neuroscience confirms that specific sound frequencies measurably reduce cortisol (the stress hormone), lower heart rate, and activate the parasympathetic nervous system – the body’s natural healing state. The human body, composed of approximately 70% water, is profoundly responsive to vibrational frequencies, making sound one of the most direct and accessible healing modalities available today.
Rishikesh – the Yoga Capital of the World – is the most authentic setting in the world to learn sound healing. Here, the practice is not a trend. It is a living tradition, passed down through generations of practitioners who have used sound as a tool for spiritual and physical transformation for centuries. When you learn sound healing beside Maa Ganga in the Himalayan foothills, the environment itself becomes part of the teaching.

All programs include course materials, study manual, and Yoga Alliance YACEP certification. Accommodation and sattvic vegetarian meals are available as an add-on

( Sound Healer )Growing up in the ever-busy city of Mumbai, where life rarely slows down. Somewhere amidst the noise, Ayushi felt a quiet pull, a longing for something deeper. In 2017, she took her first 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training, not knowing then how much it would change her life. That one decision opened a door into the world of yoga and philosophy, a world she instantly fell in love with. Her curiosity only grew. Another 200-Hour course followed, and soon after, 300-Hour training in Rishikesh. The mountains, Maa Ganga, and the spiritual hearbeat of the city kept calling her back. Over the years, she completed 700 Hours of training, each experience peeling back another layer of what yoga truly meant beyond the mat. But the journey did not stop with the movement and philosophy. Drawn to the subtler realms of healing, Ayushi found herself in the world of sound. Becoming a Sound Healer felt natural, almost like the next step her soul was waiting for - a way to touch hearts not just through breath and postures, but through vibration and stillness. She creates a space that carries the warmth of someone who has walked the path herself, sometimes with discipline, sometimes with doubt, but always with devotion. Through yoga, meditation, and sound in her class the students soften, reconnect and remember themselves. At Jeevatman Yogshala, she continues to share not just techniques, but pieces of her own journey, with honesty, humility, and an open heart.
No prior experience in yoga or sound healing is required. This course is designed for complete beginners as
well as established practitioners. If you are drawn to sound, you are ready.
You already guide people in movement and mindfulness. Adding sound healing gives you a powerful complementary modality — and opens doors to sound bath workshops, retreats, and private sessions.
You have never touched a singing bowl but something about this practice calls to you. You do not need any background — only an open mind. We start from the very beginning.
Counsellors, massage therapists, reiki practitioners, and coaches often find that sound healing deepens their existing work significantly. Sound reaches places that words cannot.
You are travelling to Rishikesh or India and want an authentic, immersive experience — not a tourist activity. This is a real certification course in a real sacred setting
You are going through stress, burnout, loss, or a major life transition. Sound healing works directly on the nervous system in ways that talk-based approaches often cannot reach.
You want an internationally recognised YACEP credential from Yoga Alliance USA — one that allows you to teach, run workshops, and charge professionally for sound healing sessions worldwide

My time in Dharamsala turned out to be shorter than planned due to extreme weather conditions, so I decided to make the most of it and looked for a sound healing course at short notice. That's how I found Ayushi at Jeevatman Yogshala, and I'm very grateful I did. The one-on-one course gave me a deep understanding of singing bowls, sound healing techniques, and how to work with them in practice. Ayushi is highly knowledgeable, patient, and an excellent teacher who explains both the theory and practical aspects in a clear and accessible way. After the course, she also gave me invaluable advice in choosing my own set of singing bowls, which I really appreciated. I later recommended Ayushi to a woman from Hungary whom I met during my travels. She had a sound healing session with Ayushi and was very grateful for the experience. I highly recommend Ayushi to anyone interested in learning sound healing or experiencing a professional sound healing session. She combines deep knowledge with genuine care and has a wonderful ability to share her expertise with others.Posted on Google![]()

I did a Sound Healing Session with Jeevatman Yogshala. It was an amazing experience. My first time attending a Sound Bath Session. It brought out some memories of my childhood that i never thought existed. Can not put into words what it felt like, but it is something everyone should experience. Ayushi Ji created a safe space and support. Which means a lot. Recommend anyone coming to Rishikesh should book a sound healing session at Jeevatman Yogshala.Posted on Google![]()

I wasn't sure what to expect when I joined the Sound Healing Course, but it turned out to be one of the most meaningful experiences I've had. What stood out most was the genuine care and attention given to each student. Ayushi our teacher created such a warm and welcoming space that learning felt natural and enjoyable. I felt only encouraged. I left with practical knowledge, confidence, and a much deeper connection to sound healing. I'm truly grateful for everything I learned and experienced here.Posted on Google![]()

The teacher Ayushi is a bully and lies about the experience she has. She boasts about having learnt sound Healing from multiple institutes 5 and half years back but when I asked her to show certificates, she denied. I was skeptical about her experience from the way she taught. From my research I found, she recently learnt sound Healing and started teaching. Also, she hates the progress of the students and tries to knock them down by making negative comments and when I confronted her, she denied outright and immediately changed the subject and shifted the blame and started talking about irrelevant things. The teacher Ayushi is too manipulative. Sound Healing is a deep science, the teacher doesn't have sufficient knowledge to teach. It is just superficial teaching, she doesn't have any research done and doesn't even know what sound healing is. She just plays bowls which anybody can do. It is all copy pasted knowledge. They're doing all this for money. And they seriously dislike when someone makes progress. There are many other teachers and schools where good knowledge is imparted. Please do your research and find a genuine teacher and school.Posted on Google![]()

Her encouraging words, positive energy, and wonderful teaching style created the perfect space to learn. She is a phenomenal mentor!"
Rishikesh is not simply a location — it is the most significant epicentre of yoga and sound healing traditions on earth. For thousands of years, sages, sadhus, and healers have gathered at this sacred confluence of Himalayan rivers to practise, teach, and transmit ancient healing arts. The environment itself accelerates learning in a way that no urban studio can replicate.
When you practise sound healing in Rishikesh, you are at the source. The Ganges — one of the world’s most sacred rivers — runs alongside the town. The Himalayan mountain range rises behind it. The air carries the vibration of thousands of years of devotional practice. Students consistently report that their capacity for inner stillness deepens faster here than anywhere else they have practised.
Rishikesh is also one of India’s safest cities for solo travellers, including women travelling alone. The town is peaceful, walkable, and entirely oriented around spiritual and wellness practice. Most of our international students describe arriving feeling overwhelmed and leaving feeling genuinely transformed.
